We had a very fun day today. It started out with a rare gift: Finn slept until 8:00 am. This is over an hour more than usual, so the day started out on a good note. Then we went to Max Kurtz' football game, which was super fun. I really am not wishing for Finn to grow up so quickly, but I can't help but think about how fun it will be to watch him out on the field someday.
After the game, we ran to a local nursery and to Lowes with the Kurtz fam. We picked up a bunch of flowers so that we could finally fill our planter pots that we've had for a couple weeks now. We have two by the front door and two by the garage. Once we get the deck built we hope to put two or three out there as well. I was so happy with how they turned out and I think the pop of color on the front of the house is wonderful.
It's now almost 9:00, Finn has been asleep for about an hour and I'm taking a little break from watching "Water for Elephants." I read the book while I was in San Diego and just loved it. I have to say, I'm relatively happy with the movie so far.
